Jenna Marbles Should Be on TV and More Famous Like

I love it when you can find a pretty funny video (usually by a comedy troupe) and watch everything in that poster's arsenal within a week until you've gorged yourself on their craft to point where you get this feeling you've known about this person for years and even feel like you two have had a moment or two.

Jenna Marbles has really, really popular videos on the YouTube and here is why you should watch them.

The former BU grad is surprisingly funny and employs different chuckle inducing techniques. She's also blonde, appreciates animal subtext, and is cloyingly attractive...she's got the versatility of Justin Verlander and twice the television show potential of Whitney Cummings. And I like Whitney Cummings. I still haven't seen a lot of Jenna's work, but here are five of my favorites so far...

5 - Tips for Good Hygiene

This one isn't her best work, but I love the homage to Family Guy that escalates into banana abuse. Definitely don't watch this one first or you'll hate me.

4 - How to Get Ready for a Date

"Just remember, you're a girl, so you're not funny, smart, interesting, or any of those things" is a line, that, when combined with that great looking pink number makes this one pretty special. That personalized Fendi bag is pretty badass, too.

3 - People I Would Fuck

Even though she reminds me of some type of warped, blonde Snooki character who whines too much at the beginning, that list is pretty excellent and utilizes one of my favorite humors: randomness. My favorites include in inanimate 30 pack of Bud Light and Shaq, even though "it's probably physically impossible."

2 - How to Avoid Talking to People You Don't Want to Talk To

This gem reads most like a stand-up rant, and uses one of Jenna's best traits...her editing ability. Once you watch the face edit in this, you'll she how she uses it to her advantage in most of her other videos for an added impact.

1 - What Boys Do in the Car

Man. Everything in this video is pretty close to perfect. The dropping of the "bag of dicks" insult, the comically drawn mustache to represent the entire male population that's usually reserved to vandalized photos, and the phrase "muthafuckin' punctual gangsta" actually being uttered. I don't know how she knew, but a good 80 percent of that is true.

BONUS - Wow, Jenna tells jokes and shows off an array of sexy bikinis. This is still under 10 million views, so I'm assuming guys stopped watching Youtube entirely.


And here's the video that launched Jenna into internet stardom. I remember seeing this last year and thinking it was funny, but I just never follow up on anyone's subscriptions on Youtube.
