Last week: 4-6
Season: 34-31
(12) Kansas State at Kansas, 12PM EST FSN RegionalNo spreads, no hedges, I'm going completely homer here and taking the Wildcats to push to 7-0 before their four straight ranked tests, starting next week at home against Oklahoma. KU's defense, to say it politely, is mythos at this point. Since giving up 24 to NcNeese State on opening day, the Jayhawks have allowed in order 42, 66, 45, 70, and 47. I'm going to say that four of those offenses are probably more adept than K-State, including Georgia Tech's "Run & Rape" (name and trademark pending), but still, I can't imagine the Wildcats scoring less than 40 in the Sunflower Showdown or whatever they're calling it these days. Kansas State stays undefeated and wins 44-24.
(19) Auburn at (1) LSU (47.5 O/U, -21), 3:30PM EST CBS
Double pick on this one. Spencer Ware is suspended for this game, and that guy pretty much ripped the Gators a new cloaca a couple of weeks ago. There are also some playmakers are defense suspended for the Tigers, so really? 21 points? I'll take the team with Ontario McCalebb, Mike Dyer, and maybe a healthy Emory Blake covering that all day. That said, LSU's defense has a nasty habit of stuffing the run, and with their offensive problems well documented, I doubt these teams will get over the 47.5 mark. I'm taking the under 47.5 and taking Auburn to cover the 21.

GRRR HOLDING!
In this very game last year, amidst rankings and coaching heart attacks, I picked MSU because of a gut feeling and what do ya know? They pulled the upset and knocked Wisconsin from the ranks of the unbeaten. Hey, Scott Tolzien was a good quarterback, but Russell Wilson is not only one of the better stories in college football going right now, he's flat out one of the best players. Good Gawd, NC State must've been a shitty place to play. The Badgers trek to the National Championship Game continues as they win 26-17.
(22) Washington at (7) Stanford (-20), 8PM EST ABC Regional
Considering UW almost lost to an FCS team earlier in the year, don't have Jake Locker and Andrew Luck might be the second coming of "JohnPeyton El-Mannway" I'm inclined to say Stanford's stout offense continues to aerial assault the Huskies and cover the 20.
Tennessee at (2) Alabama (-29.5), 7:15PM EST ESPN2
What da...these point spreads in the SEC are out of control this week. I'm not shortcutting how bad Tennessee can play, but I have to think the Vols will keep it close enough that Bama doesn't score over 40, right? I'm taking Tennessee to cover, but barely.

Destroy Team Catholic, commence!
I hate both of these teams, and can't see myself watching this, but even I'll admit that it should be entertaining. I think the fireworks come out late, with Matt Barkley sparking the offense in a modest shootout that goes over 57.5.
Georgia Tech (20) at Miami, 3:30PM EST ESPN
I'm not sure what happened to GT last week, but thanks for ruining the only ACC game potentially worth a damn in a couple of weeks against Clemson. Will the GT run game get back on track down in the U? Hell, why not! I'm taking Georgia Tech to win 37-20.
Broncos at Dolphins, 1PM EST CBS
In case you haven't been watching, this is the game of the week, lest Tebow rapture down from the heavens and declare the Packers-Vikings tilt "a thing" this year. I really like Tim Tebow to score a composite three TD's this game, and for Miami to have not much of an answer. Brandon Marshall is banged up, and who is playing QB for Miami? Cleo Lemon? Broncos win 31-17.
Bears vs. Buccaneers (43.5 O/U), 1PM EST FOX
From London, bitches! This is still a thing, huh? We try and have good relations with other countries and we send them Jay Cutler? I don't ever recall these Wembley games ever being high scoring, so I'll hedge my bets and say the ample amounts of turnovers fall in favor of the under.
Redskins at Panthers, 1PM EST FOX
Anyone else think John Beck is the real deal? I like the Skins defense in fantasy, but Cam Newton is poised to tear "dat" ass up. Dat, in this scenario, is the professional football team from Landover. Panthers get their second win on the season and defeat the Skins 20-13.

John Beck's Infinite Sorrow
Vincent Jackson probably won't play, and at least the Jets looked okay/decent/like a team on Monday night. I'll take Mark Sanchez to have a statement game, and kinda because I just traded for him in fantasy and want to look good. Jets win 30-24.
Packers at Vikings (46.5 O/U), 4:15PM EST FOX
Even though Christian Ponder is starting his first game, he can't do any worse than Donny McNabb has been doing up there in the Metrodome. That said, they still have Adrien Peterson against a vulnerable to scoring Packers D. Combined with Aaron Rodgers' nearly seamless passing game, I'm taking the over.
Steelers at Cardinals (+4), 4PM EST CBS
Wow, three out of the five "experts" on CBS like the Cards straight up in this one? We are still talking about Kevin Kolb against the Steelers D, right? Rashard Mendenhall will play, so I'm taking Pittsburgh to cover the -4 all day here.

It's good to have a receiver taller than the tall Kardashian
Hmmm. Ray Rice by himself should cover that eight points easily. I mean, not literally by himself. I'm sure than Blind Side kid will assist in a Hoss manner. I will always have love for the Jags, but even my expectations for this matchup are tempered. Baltimore looks like they could be the best team in the AFC, and Jacksonville, well...hey, Mike Sims-Walker is back! I'm taking Baltimore to begrudgingly cover the 8.
