Last week: 6-4
Season: 22-23
(3) Oklahoma vs. (11) Texas, 12PM EST ABCOnce again, I'm going with the team I know more about, and really, Case McCoy? I can't imagine he's that good that the other QB (who played in the National Title Game against Alabama) is transferring. On the same hand, Landry Jones to Ryan Broyles is about as dynamic an offensive combo as you'll find. The Texas secondary will probably stifle Jones early, and maybe even pick him off a couple of times, but OU is a well oiled machine at this point. Countdown to the OU-Wisconsin title game begins Saturday. Sooners win 36-20.
Maryland at (13) Georgia Tech (-14.5), 12PM EST ESPNU
Since beating Miami in Week 1 in front of a national audience, Maryland has looked downright awful and is running into the best offense in Division 1. GT really needs a better TV schedule, because this team looks like it's a whole lot of fun to watch. The thing is the Yellow Jackets bread and butter is their triple option ground game (their leading receiver has 15 catches through five games), so can they run away with this and cover as the clock ticks down? I want to say not so fast, but I usually get these wrong, so I'm picking GT to cover. Don't fear the turtle this week.
(15) Auburn at (10) Arkansas, 7PM EST ESPN
Anyone watching that Arkansas-TAMU game last week? Jarius Wright caught himself 13 balls for 281 yards. Two eighty one. Holy rollers, kid. Auburn's secondary sucks too much for that not to be a glaring trend. I know they held the Gamecocks to only 13 points last week, but that's more about Stephen Garcia doing his best John Brantley impression. I think this'll be close for the duration, but the Razorbacks pull away and win 33-23.
Missouri at (20) Kansas State, 3:30PM EST ABC/ESPN
Normally, this would be a spread game for me, but KSU is still so unproven that there's no way they should dominate the Tigers, no matter how well Collin Klein is playing. The last time I picked a K-State game, I went with their opponents to cover the 17.5 and the Wildcats were up at least 35 at halftime, and combined with wins at Miami and against a ranked Baylor team, I'd say the boys have turned it around since that awful, awful 10-7 win over Eastern Kentucky. This is the first of three straight non-ranked conference opponents before they play the heart of the Big 12, so look for K-State to be the most inconspicuous 7-0 team in the history of football. Kansas State wins 27-16.

The whitest quarterback you know
So, how'd that QB change go for Ohio State? Oh...oh my. Almost shut out at home against MSU, you say? Even if the guy who isn't Braxton Miller helms the Buckeyes, I'm still liking Nebraska to get their first ever Big 10 conference win. Huskers roll 27-13.
Jets at Patriots, 4:15PM EST CBS
This, by all accounts, is the game of the week, and one I wouldn't mind seeing end in a 35 point win by Gang Green. We can dream, can't we? Have you guys seen Wes Welker's numbers this year? Ungodly stuff, which tells me he'll draw extra attention and let another guy like Deion Branch or Chad Ochocinco step up in the clutch. Also, the Pats running game is looking better and better with rookie Stevan Ridley gaining steam while the Jets are still trying to figure out how LT only managed a yard last week. Pats win 34-20.
Saints at Panthers (+6.5), 1PM EST FOX
Suddenly, this looks like a fun game to watch as it seems like the only thing that can stop Cam Newton is rain (sorry, Jags). With Devery Henderson and Marques Colston banged up and a rejuvenated D'Angelo Williams running for the Panthers, this should be a close one and leads me to believe that Carolina will cover the spread (no promises on the upset, though, it wouldn't surprise me).

Sorry, Jimmy Clausen, you're the whitest QB I know
No James Harrison? Gimpy Big Ben? I'm still taking the Steelers in a matchup where I think both teams struggle to find the end zone. Pittsburgh squeaks by 16-10.
Packers at Falcons, 8:20PM EST NBC
Anyone see the last time the Packers invaded the Georgia Dome? They put up 87 points and broke Matt Ryan's xiphoid process [citation needed]. This should be a pretty decent shootout, but I'm going with my heart and picking Green Bay 38-34.

I couldn't bring myself to post another picture of Cutler, so here's his girlfriend. In Canada, apparently.
Contrary to popular belief, I'm still not believing that the Lions are the world beaters and the Bears are heading in the toilet. Even with a 4-0 start, I'm pretty sure Detroit will go 9-7 and be fighting for a Wild Card spot. Matt Stafford is waiting for any excuse to get injured and they can't run the ball. Meanwhile, Matt Forte is looking the MVP no one expected he would grown into when he was drafted from that school no one can remember. In fact, Forte has 14 more catches than anyone else paid by the Bears whose job is listed as wide receiver. This should be a fun, fun game and I'm taking the upset here--Bears win 34-27.
